Matt Wilmot is a freelance keyboard player based in Manchester. Born in Bristol, he has been playing the piano and keyboard since the age of six, and composing and performing live from the age of twelve. Matt's background encompasses many diverse genres, including reggae, dub, jazz, rock and musical theatre. He has a well developed musical signature, and has been writing and recording music for many years.
He has considerable experience of musical theatre, and has trodden the boards of all major theatres in the East Midlands, and has also performed at Her Majesty's Theatre, in London's West End.
Matt is a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, where he studied under the established keyboard player, Matt Steele.
In 2012, Matt toured the UK as keyboard player in "Forever Michael - The World's Greatest Michael Jackson Tribute Concert". He is currently the keyboard player in the Manchester based dub/reggae band Salutation Dub Collective , and also plays with Electric Lounge Band and Samson & Delilah.
Matt writes and produces his own material to a high standard is is available for session work.
